We are excited to announce the re-launch of Mallett in June 2018. In keeping with the Mallett tradition a suite of rooms have been created at Donnington Priory, an historic Grade II listed country house in Berkshire where art and antiques will be displayed in room settings rather than using the traditional gallery displays.
In June 2018 we will launch the Mallett showrooms for the first time. We will also be holding our first exhibition ‘Drawn to The Ridgeway’ which is a series of coloured oil pastels by local artist Nick Schlee. The collection of works guides the viewer along the historic ridgeway trail in southern central England. Through Schlee’s use of colour and rhythm he has created a pictorial journey for the viewer to experience. This is just the beginning of an exciting programme of contemporary exhibitions and shows.
Mallett is steeped in histroy, established in 1865 in Bath with 150 years of trading, Mallett has established itself as one of the world’s foremost brands for fine and decorative arts, specialising in the highest quality English and continental furniture. Alongside decorative arts Mallett has also acquired the name for offering 18th & 19thc. pictures synonymous with the country house look. We are excited about the chance to re-launch the brand, whilst still holding on to our prestigious history.
It is certainly a new adventure, but one that will continue to present fine and decorative arts with charm and style enticing today’s buyers looking to achieve an historical country house look.
